According to internal National Defence polling reviewed by Global News, nearly 40 per cent of Canadians responded that they lack confidence in the CAF to “appropriately” deal with sexual misconduct allegations. Next week’s papal visit will include a stop to Quebec. Pope Francis will spend two nights in the provincial capital of Quebec City. Mike Armstrong has the latest on the impending Canadian visit, where the pope’s focus will be to apologize for residential schools and the horrors Indigenous communities have faced because of them.
And the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the ongoing monkeypox outbreak a global health emergency. As Reggie Cecchini reports, so far in 2022, there have been more than 16,000 cases of monkeypox in more than 75 countries, and five deaths in the continent of Africa.
