⇝ About The Artist ➤ HBB @dj_hbb
Usama Douglah, better known as HBB (Habibi), is a DJ, producer, and full-time engineer based in Los Angeles. Born in Baghdad, he moved to Tanzania and Burundi as a teenager before relocating to the U.S. in 2009 to study civil engineering at USC. While working as a project manager in industrial real estate, HBB honed his craft as a DJ, drawing inspiration from Solomun and blending progressive, minimal/tech, and organic house influences.
Since 2023, he has released multiple tracks, including How I Knew on Strictly Records and Don’t Walk Away on his own HBB Records, earning international recognition. In 2024, he co-founded Among Friends Records to support LA’s underground music scene. His track We Better Run hit the Top 10 in Organic House on Beatport, while Mirada reached #2 in Afro House. Known for his dynamic performances, often featuring live musicians, HBB continues to push boundaries, incorporating his Middle Eastern roots into the organic house scene.
