Here is a comprehensive chase of the UP LOF42 Saugus Local from Burbank, through Sylmar and up the Newhall Pass and Santa Clarita Valley to its final customer in Via Princessa, CA.

We start off at the Burbank Bob Hope Airport station where the train is shoving from Gemco down to Burbank Jct, following it as it travels west on the Metrolink Valley Sub to Sylmar where it switches the MWD water treatment plant, then up the grade into Saugus, performing industrial switching work at Hasa Chlorine.

The engines then run around the train and shove up to Honby to serve Weyerhaeuser. After pulling and spotting cars, the train makes its way back down to the yard. This local runs quite a long distance and traverses many steep grades, allowing for many scenic opportunities to see this train throughout its work.

A pair of GP60s, fallen victim to urban camouflage, serve as power for this local. Thanks for watching!
