Betul, a woman of a vulnerable and suffering class, has been carrying the burden of life alone for years. She is a only mother who, along with her daughter Maral, has left a hard and darker life. Maral, a young girl who has grown up as a teenager with bitter experiences and family failures, now owns twins born with special conditions: Lip cleft, or lips. This situation has not only put the physical and emotional burden on Maral, but it also has had financial, therapeutic and social challenges for their small family.

Meanwhile, the man known in the story as "Engineer" - a man who probably was a former partner of a child or father of a child - is present in the house in which they live, but not as a supporter, but as a source of threat and pressure. The engineer, who is clearly controller and self -centered, has warned Betul that if he did not return to his life together, he will bring him out of the house with Maral and his grandchildren. A threat that has not only targeted physical security but also the human dignity of Betul.

But Betul is not a woman who can easily surrender. In the face of this threat, it responds with anger and resistance and refuses to observe the conditions that smell humiliated and coercion. The conflict increases. The engineer who was expecting to surrender is now facing a woman who has decided to defend herself and her children - even if she is homeless.

Finally, the engineer leaves the house regardless of begging or feelings, without worrying about the future of three women and two children involved in the crisis. He only thinks about his threat and takes refuge in a cold and cruel behavior.

It is a bitter but real reflection of the lives of thousands of women and families who breathe under the burden of discrimination, domestic violence, and structural injustices. In silence, with hidden pains, and with children who have a smile, a cleft lip, and a face of fate.
