Welcome to a brand new vlog episode where we continue our bathroom renovation journey by delving into floor-tiling. While all non-cut tomette tiles are installed we now need to install the last tiles and all of them need to be cut to measure. Not two tiles are equal in dimensions.
There are many ways to find the right angle to cut and to transfer it to the tile but mine here is for sure the fastest and easiest with the least amount of mistakes that can be made.
After installing these last tiles we let the floor ‘cure’ for about 40 hours before we start grouting.
The grouting mix is a white grout specified for underfloor heating.
We add a ‘plastifyer’ additive to the grout to make the grout stronger and watertight. As this is a bathroom floor including shower cubicle we want to do everything we can to ensure all materials used are water proof.
We double grout the tiles before we scrub the floor and treat it with a water proof sealer which will feature in the next episode.
