Short video explaining the drop rate adjustment on a compact tractor, vast majority of tractors have the same style knob that adjusts the drop rate speed. This can be changed to suit the type of implement on the tractor. If the implement is heavy, then you would adjust this to slow down the speed reducing the impact when the linkage lever is dropped suddenly. However then it’s a light implement, you would ‘unwind’ this to make it drop quicker as there is less weight on the linkage making it drop slower.
