"We’re at the Tijuana airport, literally standing right on the border, about to fly to Puerto Vallarta, and the most dad-magnet thing ever happens: they start changing the tire on our actual plane — and every guy in our group just instinctively drifts over to the window like it’s a Home Depot demonstration. No one said anything. We just stood there, shoulder to shoulder, silently watching this tire swap like it was the Super Bowl.

It was one of those moments where time stopped and nothing else mattered. Vacation? Yeah, that can wait. Boarding soon? Doesn’t matter. There’s a guy in a vest changing a plane tire and we need to see how it ends.

And the best part — we all knew it was ridiculous, but none of us could look away. Just full-on dad mode activated. I don’t know what that guy’s name was, but for those few minutes, he was the MVP of the trip. Tire Guy, if you see this — thank you for your service."
