Shimekoroshi is an independent band primarily active in Tokyo, Japan.
A pioneering avant-garde noise band inspired by powerful images of nature surpassing civilization, such as the banyan trees enveloping the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat. The band's unique soundscape is crafted by a female vocalist, male percussionist, and male guitarist playing a variety of instruments. Rooted in the experimental realms of 1970s progressive rock and free jazz, Shimekoroshi delivers a raw and immersive aural experience that challenges the boundaries of conventional music.
