V.E.X./Moira Scar is dark-wave death-rock synth-punk freak-noise duo Roxy Monoxide and Lu Gamma Ray, who have been playing music together for two decades in various incarnations. Roxy and Lu started in San Francisco as The Floating Corpses, becoming Moira Scar and touring the country multiple times. V.E.X. began as a more electronic side project to the more rock based Moira Scar, eventually the two projects grew into each other. In Oakland for the last decade V.E.X./Moira Scar have released 9+ albums and continue to create their unique sound that is post-punk and experimental, that is goth and garage, that might be summed up best by their new label: Bat Noise! V.E.X./Moira Scar has played over a thousand shows across the country and in parts of Europe, Mexico, and Canada, have played with bands from Psychic TV to 45 Grave, Moor Mother to Pharmakon, Ritual Howls to Echo Beds, HIDE to Hante, Gitane Demone to M. Lamar, Skeletal Family to Shannon and the Clams, and many other legendary and obscure bands. V.E.X./Moira Scar's newest album is Vortex Empath Xen Between Worlds.
