In 1932, while fighting against British goods, a young Madrasi girl, R Sivabhogam, landed in jail for a year. Most would have given up, but she didn’t! R Sivabhogam came out, passed her CA exams, and became India’s first female Chartered Accountant in 1933. But the British had another trick— they banned her from practicing! Did she accept defeat?
