Playing around the chord is a great way to practice guitar for better improvising. This is an intermediate guitar lesson. If we do this everyday we will start to have a connection with the chord and the notes that we choose. This will make our improvising so much better. if you’re just practicing the pentatonic scale over and over, try practicing like this! We will use the G major chord for these examples today. There are many ways to practice to get better at improvising. But this concept will really give you a connection on the fretboard. The notes in the chords(chord tones) will definitely keep you connected as you play a lead guitar solo. This exercise gives you an efficient way to practice for your lead guitar Soloing. We will be using G major for these examples, but this can be done with any chord and any key. if you are just using the pentatonic scale, this video will send you on a path to sound more melodic and connected as you play your lead guitar solos.
