This video is a quick demonstration on how to repair dye transfer on a leather seat.
Quick synopsis:
1) Clean the affected area thoroughly, starting first with Simple Green all-purpose cleaner, and then secondly with denatured alcohol diluted further with water. You can use a Scotch-Brite pad to clean out the grain areas of the leather too.
2) Make sure the area is completely dry. A hair-dryer can be used to speed this step up.
3) Prepare the Preval Spray Gun by transferring the dye to the bottle -- you can use a piece of cardboard or a paper towel to prime the sprayer and get an idea of the spray pattern as well.
4) Spray very light coats of dye, allowing time (about 20-30 minutes) between coats so that they fully dry.
5) The area should be fully dry an hour after the last coat, but the dye still needs 48-72 hours to fully cure. Treat the redyed area with extra care, making sure not to get any water or chemicals on it in the meantime.
