Hi Guys!

Could you imagine laundry being one of your life’s biggest problems?

Well, it is for us, especially when traveling through certain parts of the world. Being in India for such a long time, we ran into the same problem.

As you probably know, most hotels have a laundry service, but there was no way we would pay $40 for 40 pairs of underwear, so we decided to search for a laundromat or a laundry service.

Our first attempt in Kochi was a failure, so we thought we could try our luck in Munnar. Armed with enthusiasm and positive thoughts, we left for the town to find a place where we could have our clothes washed.

Unfortunately, thanks to Google reviews and some locals, we quickly figured out that luck was not in the cards for us, so we went back to our hotel and made a deal with them to do our own laundry!

YES, we went to the service rooms of the Misty Mountain Resort and learned how to wash our own clothes. It took a moment to figure out the machines, but with the help of the employees, we did just fine!

Now, for the drying part, we were told to go to the hotel’s rooftop and hang our clothes to dry. Thinking that’s going to be the easy part, we went 6 floors up just to figure out there was nowhere to hang our clothes. There weren't any strings or drying racks, so we had to hang everything over the fence. I guess the nice view was our silver lining!

After our laundry adventure, we decided to go to town and just walk around Munnar’s open market. We took an autorickshaw there and noticed that Munnar was a lot cleaner than Kochi. There were actually plenty of trash cans, and the public areas were pretty neat.

We shopped around Munnar’s bustling market, took a bunch of selfies with the locals, and figured out how to get on a bus to take us to our hotel. We were back just in time to enjoy another delicious Indian dinner and called it a day!
