Great for blended worship.
Rooted in an English folk ballad, the cheerful underlying tune Forest Green was first converted to a hymn with Ralph Vaughn William’s setting of O Little Town of Bethlehem. Others include All Beautiful the March of Days, I Sing the Mighty Power of God and When Morning Dawns and Evening Fades. This version has a light Latin feel that fits right in with contemporary and blended worship styles. Useful for service preludes, offertories, postludes and transitions.
