Ian Askell from Essential Energy outlines what Essential Energy is doing to support businesses and industries in its network area to embrace electrification and how it can benefit all energy users. Ian discusses how electrification will increase network utilisation resulting in lower network charges as a result of more users on the network. He also explains the role electric thermal energy storage technologies can play in facilitating industrial electrification.

Essential Energy builds, operates and maintains one of Australia’s largest electricity distribution networks, providing a vital service to over 900,000 customers across regional, rural and remote communities, with its network footprint covering 95 per cent of New South Wales and parts of southern Queensland in Australia.
