My 1st wildlife pencil illustration in 25 years. Page 1 of a new sketchbook, many more to come! 25 years ago, I lived in Seattle and worked in the art department of Indian Arts and Crafts where I met my first real teacher, a Makah native by the name of William Cunningham. There I learned a great many things about illustration of all kinds, but also the traditional form line and totemic carving styles of many Pacific Northwest Native tribes and their legends that accompany them. Also I learned about darkroom photography and the art of screen printing. It was an amazing time as I drew what I saw; the rich landscapes and wildlife of the Puget Sound! I've decided it's time to return to my roots as I start a new sketchbook. Tune in for more art AND guitar music videos!
