"Show Me How To Live" is often mistakingly thought to be about Jesus Christ, but the song says "Nail in my head" not "hand" something that singer-songwriter Chris Cornell himself corrected on Twitter to make the matter clear. A truly powerful hard-rock song, it is solely about the conception of Dr. Frankenstein's creation from the Monster's POV and semi-details Dr. Frankenstein's rejection of him instead of 'showing him how to live' like a loving father would.
Whilst the monster is trying to gain guidance and love from his father/creator and anyone else that is willing to give it, he is simultaneously trying to find his place and peace in the world too. However, as someone that is not being taught how to act in society, coupled with his looks and general demeanour, his attempts at interaction can only lead to disaster and conflict, where he will be vilified and hunted to extinction.
