Let's walk around Kipsala island located in a very center of Latvia's capital Riga. For many years this island on the river Daugava was a fisher village but today a popular place for calm lifestyle and expensive residential properties for mid-high class. The exact origin of Kipsala is unknown but maybe it derived from an old Latvian word "kipa" - haystack.
