Ukrainian emergency services said on 23 January that they rescued an eight-year-old girl from underneath rubble following a strike on Kharkiv.
Officials in Kharkiv, said eight people had died in the attack on an apartment building and 60 were wounded.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on said Russian missile strikes throughout the country killed 18 people, wounded more than 130 and damaged homes and infrastructure.
The eastern city of Kharkiv suffered three waves of attacks. There were also strikes on Kyiv and constant shelling in central Ukraine and the southern region of Kherson.
