I want to celebrate people who are so often not celebrated these days: people who help people who are not in their group. Christian Germans who helped Jews during the Holocaust. Whites against slavery. Men for Votes for Women. Sighted people for resources for the blind.

There needs to be more recognition and celebration of all these people. In Israel, there is, for instance, a grove dedicated to righteous gentiles who saved Jews during the Holocaust. Then there is Cassius Clay - a white abolitionist who was shot for his views, and fought to end slavery. Look around: there are so many people like that.

It is so vital to keep such people in our awareness, and to be part of such people.

Instead I see the rage fomented by Black Lives Matter.

Such a dangerous group.

There is so much good.

Again, time to affirm and celebrate and increase the good - the goodness of the many people who choose to help those not in their group, sometimes at great risk to themselves, sometimes losing their lives for this.
