That would’ve cost us $1,280 for premade corners.Instead, we used PVC 1x6”s which cost about $60. We cut them to length and then mitered the corners to get a clean look.
We used 8 pieces which cost us a total of $480.
We initially thought we might just butt the two pieces of PVC together but that would’ve left one of the edges exposed! Putting in the extra time to miter the corners was totally worth it.
Costs on a build like this can add up quickly so we try to find ways to save along the way.
That $800 can now be put towards some of our interior finishes!
