To start off on our Macbook running Sonoma 14.1, we easily access the camera using its IP address by typing it into the Firefox web browser and hitting Return on the Mac keyboard. We are greeted with a login screen where we type in the default username and password. Within moments, we have video from the camera loaded and we are ready to cover the various features our 40X Zoom 4K PTZ camera has.
You can follow along if you have one of these PTZ cameras from CCTV Camera World.
On the live view homepage, after logging in, the web interface has PTZ controls for you to move your camera using the cardinal directions. You’ll also find it has zoom, focus, and iris controls. An additional noteworthy feature is 3D targeting, which enables users to control the camera's focus and zoom in on a specific shape, such as a rectangle or square, by drawing it into the video display in the web browser. Before showcasing the astonishing power of the 40X 5.6mm-223mm lens, we briefly show how to activate the PTZ’s wiper for removing debris or moisture from the camera’s glass.
In the second half of the video, we go on to show that you can pair this camera and others with an NVR for long-term recording and to manage several cameras from a single web interface. The NVR web interface looks different from the PTZ camera interface but offers nearly the same level of control.

Like our video but curious about our other PTZ cameras? We have PTZs ranging from 4X to 48X on our website!
Most of our other IP security cameras also have plugin-free web browser access:
Be sure to purchase them with an NVR for easy remote access, long-term video storage, and multi-cam setups.
