-- FR -- "Will it chug ??!!" s'écrierait notre ami guitariste YouTuber @OlaEnglund des thrasheurs suédois THE HAUNTED. Si nous attentions avec impatience leur nouvelle bombe, alors que le précédent disque Strength In Numbers remontait à 2017, nous sommes restés sur notre faim malgré son côté immédiat et terriblement furieux. Pour tout vous avouer, nous sommes même un peu déçus car on s'attendait à un poil de plus d'innovations et d'idées notamment au niveau des riffs de guitares et soli de la part d'Ola Englund au côté du vétéran Jensen. Dans tous les cas, Songs Of Last Resort frappe fort et se veut très direct, mais on aurait aimer davantage de prise de risque comme, pourquoi pas, à l'époque de Peter Dolving quand celui-ci était au micro. Note finale : 3/5

But from nomw, here's our review of the 10th studio album, Songs of Last Resort, by Swedish thrashers THE HAUNTED. While we were eagerly awaiting this new bomb of thrash, even though their previous album, Strength in Numbers, dates back to 2017, we were left wanting more despite its immediate and terribly furious quality. To be honest, we were a little disappointed about it because we were expecting a bit more innovation and ideas, particularly in the guitar riffs and solos from Ola Englund alongside Jensen. In any case, Songs of Last Resort hits hard and is very direct, but we would have liked more risk-taking, like, perhaps, Peter Dolving used to do when he was at the mic. Final Rating : 3/5
