The Strange Beauty of Darkness is the second song on my current album Eclipse...I tried to copy elements of 70s prog music in this progressive rock song. The hymnic parts mixed with the synthesizer parts are important here.
The guitar solo that you can hear throughout the song was written by me in advance, no or hardly any improvisation.
The instrumental album Eclipse is a matter of the heart. An album that I always wanted to compose. And I am absolutely happy with it.
Many will say that it is not real progressive rock... I say yes!! If you listen to the prog rock of the 60s and 70s then you can find overlaps in Eclipse.
