If you've been fooled by tutorials to catch pets with less taming items - then this video might help. Here I show actual clips of pet taming and the required number of taming items - along with pet skills & pet costumes.

I usually let the hype die down first before getting anything in ROM, even more so with pets. I wait for the price to go down to reasonable levels, or for me to accumulate taming items from ET runs.

And since everyone's spending zeny on X2 donation, pet taming items are cheaper. Dullahan taming item is no longer snapping too... :)
