Last night, David Hedges shattered the FKT for the Wasatch Ultimate Ridge Linkup (WURL) with an incredible time of 14:07:33, beating the previous record by over 33 minutes. In a true display of sportsmanship, former record-holder Jason Dorais was there at the finish line to congratulate him. The WURL, envisioned by Jared Campbell, is a breathtaking 36-mile route circumnavigating Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. The challenging topography features a mix of scrambling, boulder hopping, and rugged trails, collectively accumulating over 18,000 feet of hard-earned elevation gain at high altitudes.
David's ensemble crew included Jack Kuenzle, Anna Demonte, Blaine Benitez, Josh Oblad, Griffin Bailey, and Jack Levitt.
