In biblical times, the “law” was seen as vital to earning your right standing with God. However, the gospel that Paul is sharing in his letter to the Galatians proclaims that because of Jesus Christ, we are free from the slavery of the law. However, just because we are free doesn’t mean we have an excuse to sin whenever we want.
