At the start of the eighties, Stan and Jacko left the band and were replaced by Snotty (who was to be the manager) and Ush. They started playing local gigs in the Stoke on Trent area and soon after released their first demo.
Amongst the five seven-inch records they released in the early eighties, including two splits, was this one, which was released on their own label in 1983, as well as being on Neon Records.
They played with bands like GBH, The Fits, Broken Bones, and Abrasive Wheels.
They recorded until 1983, when Fish left the band to join Discharge. By 1985 the Skeptix had split up.
They briefly reformed in the early two thousands, recording a new album and touring the US, amongst other things.
