Winterational: I made this originally for Soundcloud but I'm posting it here now on Youtube.
These early ECM artists were some of the very first electro-acoustic ambient musicians ever, and they also happened to possess some of the greatest musical prowess in the world at the time. It is my belief that they have not been honored enough, primarily due to politics and cultural conventions in-and-around the jazz world.
This is a thoroughly crafted mix of vintage ECM jazz combined with 90s illbient artists. The main purpose is to start drawing attention to certain vintage ECM composers in a new and artistic light, but also serve as an illbient-artists memento. It's a long eclectic piece, showing many mentalities and textures. Leave it on in the background if nothing else; you will likely find it redeeming on some level.
