In the last day i rediscovered my old Yamaha DTXpress 3 electronic drumset and his sounds. This instruments made in 2004 it's a standard mid-level e-drums with rubber pads and a little tweakable PCM sound. I never been a big fan of it's sampled sounds but with a little bit of piatience and some trick from interned i made some nice kit for practice and jam. In this video i played dome jungle/drumfunk beats ove a simple sequence from my Korg Volca Beats, distorted and effected with Zoom B1on: i made two different fx presets for intro and drop then switched by hands. For technical reasons i pre recorded the Volca sequence then played over it trying to sincronize it live, in the process i added a distorted and reverbered "agogo" sample at the end of all cycles. The sound of DTXpress, with a little of post production it's quite dynamic and expressive, maybe not like VST like Addictive drums or similar but have zero latency so i'm fine with it :D
