The #10 ranked Generals struck in the top of the first on two hits to take an early 1-0 lead which held up for most of the game despite the Pioneers putting multiple runners in scoring position.
Olentangy Orange finally broke through in the bottom of the seventh when its first three batters walked to load the bases. A fourth walk tied the game at 1 before a groundout and a lineout-double play back to the pitcher ended the frame.
Anthony Wayne retook the lead in the top of the eighth, but again the Pioneers answered in the bottom on a hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded and two out.
Olentangy Orange then finished things in the bottom of the ninth. After a leadoff triple and two intentional walks loaded the bases the Pioneers pulled off a perfect squeeze bunt to walk-off.
Olentangy Orange will face top-ranked Moeller on Saturday at 10 AM back at Canal Park for the Division 1 State Championship.
