Smashed Crispy Broccoli

Smashed Crispy Broccoli is a delicious and fun side dish featuring tender broccoli florets that are boiled and then smashed, topped with a blend of mozzarella and gouda cheese. Baked or air-fried until golden and crispy, this dish is seasoned with Italian herbs and makes for a perfect appetizer or snack, especially when served with your favorite dipping sauces.

➡️Ingredients:
* 1 small broccoli makes 6 pieces
* 200 g mozzarella and gouda mix(grated)
* Italian herbs to taste
* Salt & pepper to taste

➡️Instructions:

* Cut the broccoli into 6 florets and boil them for 10-15 minutes until slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
* On a baking sheet or air fryer tray, spread half of the grated mozzarella and gouda mixture. Sprinkle Italian herbs on top.
* Place the boiled broccoli florets on the cheese base. Using the bottom of a small jar, gently smash each piece until slightly flattened, allowing the cheese and herbs to stick to the broccoli.
* Season the smashed broccoli with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top to create an extra cheesy, crispy layer.
* Preheat your oven or air fryer to 200°C (390°F). Cook for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is golden and crispy.
* Serve the smashed crispy broccoli hot with dipping sauces like garlic or cocktail sauce for extra flavor.
