Matana Roberts is a musician and composer from Chicago that focuses on jazz and sound experiments. "Coin Coin" is a multi-chapter project dedicated to the memory of the ancestors and their often troubled fate.
Chapter Four: Memphis tells the story of Liddie, whose father was murdered by KKK.
It's also my favourite album of the year in 2019.
