On August 7, 2025, mgk went live on Instagram about 10 minutes before his album was released. While waiting for the album countdown, mgk was at Cleveland Guardians' Progressive Field with his oldest daughter Casie and friends. During the IG live, mgk talked about his new album "lost americana." mgk said he's not taking a year break from another album and that he will come back and rap. So mgk will likely drop a rap album very soon.

mgk said, "First off, this is no sign off. This is no, we're going nowhere. This is no, we're taking a year break from another album, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm on your bumper. I'm on your bumper. 'Oh, he does this, he does that.' And i'ma do that. This album's nice. I'ma sing my a** off, and then i'ma come back, and i'ma rap my a** off."

mgk also said he's "dedicating lost Americana to Dingo."
