Kayla Clements, a doctoral student in nuclear engineering, is translating theory into practice by
developing software to advance neutron transport capabilities. Her work is part of the Center for
Exascale Monte Carlo Neutron Transport, headed by Todd Palmer, professor of nuclear engineering and Clements’ advisor. CEMeNT is a collaboration with researchers in nuclear engineering, computer science, software engineering, computational physics, and mathematics at Oregon State University, the University of Notre Dame and North Carolina State University.
