On the tenth anniversary WinterFest on the tenth night of January 2014 I was reunited with long-time friends, collaborators, and artists of note in jazz, world, and creative music. We had not played on the same stage in more than twelve years. The guys mentioned to me that they wanted to focus on an organ-based unit or at least a non-piano format. I was very much into idea of playing my own bass lines-developing my own internal dialogue with the members both collectively and as individuals. It was a very uplifting musical experience to be together in this context.
