This guitar had way too much neck relief and was hard to play - especially from the 5th to 12th fret. The string action was around 4/64ths (1.6mm) which was good at the 17th fret. After adjusting the neck relief to around .008", the overall action was lowered and the guitar was much more comfortable to play. Always start with the neck relief when you do a setup... it will help with all subsequent adjustments.
