A lovely piece of obscure Psychedelia/Folk Rock from the band Cats Eyes, released on the UK label Deram in 1969, its a sad little song about the last of the ''knocker-uppers'',the men whose job it was to wake people up in the morning by knocking on the window, in the days before alarm clocks were invented.... "last in line of a generation, replaced by clockwork imitaton........"
Any late 60's pop song that features flute and cello has to be good i reckon....and listen to those beautiful harmony vocals in the chorus----absolutely gorgeous even if the recording pitch is slight wonky.
