Today we're travelling even further south to the Chilean city of Punta Arenas, and we're also going to be taking you out for some delicious Chilean seafood! So far, buses have been our main way of travel across Patagonia, and we continued with that theme as we journeyed from Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas. It was about a 3-hour journey, so relatively short for this part of the world!

Once we arrived in Punta Arenas, we checked in to our AirBnB and went out for dinner. We came across a restaurant called Estilo Magallánico that specializes in Chilean seafood dishes. We ordered the ceviche with avocado as a starter and it was divine. Then for the main dishes, we got king crab casserole in a rich and creamy sauce with lots of cheese! And we also ordered the parmesan scallops in a buttery sauce. Every thing was delightful! We seriously loved the food at this place - if you ever find yourself in Punta Arenas and want to try some Chilean seafood dishes, you need to come here!

We then had a pretty chill afternoon in the apartment. We had been travelling for almost 3 months at this point, so we were pretty tired. But don't worry, in the next video we'll be showing around Punta Arenas' main attractions, and we'll also visit a couple of different restaurants and continue sampling Chilean dishes. See you then!

Join us as we make a pit stop in Punta Arenas on our way to Ushuaia, enjoying Patagonian vistas, a cosy Airbnb, and a mouth-watering seafood lunch. Here’s what happened:

☀️ Morning Rush & Departure

Overslept and scrambled to pack, shower, and catch our taxi with only 5 minutes to spare.

Heading by bus to Punta Arenas (3 h 15 min), our first real stop en route to Ushuaia.

🏠 Lightning-Fast Airbnb Tour

Open-concept dining/office with a small kitchen (we even tossed together a salad).

Bedroom 1: Queen bed (claimed by me).

Bedroom 2: Single bed for Samuel.

Living room: Fireplace, red couch, extra seating (no bidet—just a toilet!).

$50 CAD/night for this rustic, high-ceiling duplex.

🚕 Shortcut to the Bus Terminal

Footrace to the terminal—ended up arriving early after a 2-minute cab ride.

Picked up classic Chilean empanadas: huge, hand-chopped beef filling with egg, raisins, flaky pastry.

Bonus “spinach-cheese-banana” surprise when Samuel asked for a ham-and-cheese sandwich!

🚌 Scenic Patagonian Bus Ride

Comfortable $10 CAD ticket on a professional Chilean coach (two drivers, mini-terminal drop-off).

Passed endless Patagonian steppe, estancias, and more sheep than people.

🛒 Quick Grocery Run

Checked out a nearby supermarket to stock up on fresh produce, snacks, and—of course—wine.

🍽️ Epic Lunch at “Estilo Magallánico”

Mixed ceviche with salmon, white fish, corn, peppers, red onion, avocado—bright, tangy “tigers’ milk” magic.

Chupe de centollo (king crab casserole): shredded crab in creamy, cheesy bake—like “pulled crab” perfection.

Parmesan scallops swimming in buttery sauce and stringy cheese—next-level tender.

Paired it all with a local Cabernet Sauvignon.

🔥 Cozy Night In

Back at the Airbnb: fire lit, bottles opened, movie queued.

Snack attack: sweet peanuts and sugar cookies to round out a restful evening.
