The P0328 code means the ECM has detected a high-voltage signal from the knock sensor on Bank 1. In simple terms, it’s saying the knock sensor is picking up more activity than it should—either there’s too much engine vibration, or the sensor is giving off a bad signal. The ECM uses the knock sensor to detect engine knock (also known as pinging) and adjust timing to protect the engine. So when this code sets, something isn’t right with that system.
