
Two Indians were killed and one was abducted in a terrorist attack in Niger. The Indian Embassy in Niger said that it is working with local authorities to ensure the safe release of the abductee. Offering condolences to the families of the victims, the mission added that it is also working on repatriating the mortal remains of the two killed in the attack. The Indian Embassy said that the incident occurred on July 15 in the Dosso region of southwestern Niger. The abducted victim has been identified as Ranjit Singh, from Ramban town of Jammu and Kashmir. One of the deceased has been identified as a 39-year-old Ganesh Karmali from the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand. The second victim has reportedly been identified as Krishnan and is believed to be from a southern Indian state.
