This live improvisation using the bass guitar as a lead guitar, combined with electronic music, was meant to assuage my need to go out, rock out, and shred my face off live. It has been a long year without being able to play in front of an audience. I combined Intellijel eurorack modules to make more FM percussion, along with a Moog Grandmother sequence, DFAM kick drum, and a Buchla 208c Easel Command being driven by the bass guitar envelope to create these wild textures.

Driving the clock of the system and the kick drum, as well as driving the pitch sequence of the hard sync of the Moog Grandmother.

Bass guitar:
to Befaco instrument interface to Morphagene to Monsoon (clouds clone). I'm using an EBS multi comp, a Digitech Whammy pedal, and a Sansamp Bass Driver DI to make the lead guitar sound come out. The Morphagene envelope out is driving the clock of the Buchla. In retrospect, I could've gone directly from the envelope generator of the Befaco, but this was already plugged in this way.

Eurorack:
Stillson Hammer sequencer is driving the rise time of an Intellijel Quadrax channel set to audio rate, which is in turn going to the FM input of an Intellijel Dixie II oscillator. Channel 2 of the Quadrax is plugged into Channel 1 and modulating the waveshape of the bipolar oscillator. Audio from the Dixie II is split into dry signal to X-Pan and wet signal to Make Noise Echophon. Stillson Hammer is striking two channels of an Optomix, where the two audio signals come back together.

Buchla 208c Easel Command:
Receiving clock from envelope follower of Morphagene.
Sequential voltage to pitch
Envelope generator to low pass gates
random voltage to timbre, modulation, and number of sequencer steps.
