
Dr. Ram Subramanian describes the MARS liver dialysis system now in use at Emory University. MARS (Molecular Adsorbents Recirculation System) is the best known extracorporal liver dialysis system and has existed for approximately ten years. In the U.S. the system is currently approved for use in the treatment of acute live failure. Dr. Ram Subramanian is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine.
