Kakaban Jellyfish Lagoon

In the middle of Kakaban island (Derawan islands, East Kalimantan, Indonesia), there is a mangrove-fringed lake, slightly above sea level, with thousands of jellyfish which are harmless to humans. On sunny days, some of them (who live in symbiosis with some sort of algae that needs sunlight for photosynthesis) swim up to the surface, displaying a beautiful and unique show.
