With Toyota's independent front suspension we don't get a lot of articulation up there. So even with a three inch suspension lift, the stock brake lines still have plenty of slack at full drop. But the rear suspension, with a typical 3" lift, has the capability for a great amount of down travel. So much so that the stock rubber brake lines can reach their limit and stretch, possibly even break.
We're going to be replacing our stock lines with ones we got from ToyTec Lifts. Not only do they have 3" of extra length. They also have a braided stainless steel sleeve for extra strength and durability.
Another benefit of replacing the lines is the opportunity to replace all the fluid in the system with fresh. We also show how to bleed the entire brake system.
