Essential listening. (The) Gherkin Jerks was one of the Larry Heard's earliest aliases, after ‘Mr. Fingers’ (Can U Feel It, Mystery of Love, 1985) ‘Fingers Inc.’ and one release as just "Fingers" as well as "The It", both from 1986). The tracks presented here on one compilation all date from 1988-1989 and are from the two Gherkin Jerks eps, as well as three bonus tracks. Don't recall any info on the last 3 tracks, I only have the two eps as I assume most collectors do. The foundation and seedlings of house music from *the* genius - Larry Heard aka Mr. Fingers, Fingers Inc., Gherkin Jerks, etc. Enjoy!
