On Monday, 29th of August,
NASA's Artemis 1 rocket
was ready for launch.
Except it wasn't.
Approximately 40 minutes before liftoff
the launch had to be scrubbed
due to an engine problem.
This is Artemis launch control with an update.
Launch rector Charlie Blackwell Thompson
has called a scrub for today.
Again, launch rector Charlie Blackwell.
Thompson has called a scrub of the attempt
of the launch of Artemis 1 at
the space launch system with the Orion spacecraft.
The issue that came up was
an engine bleed that couldn't be remedied.
NASA's backup launch date is scheduled
for September 2nd and September 5th,
but officials couldn't say whether
the engine issue will be fixed before
either of those dates.
Nonetheless, we'll keep you
posted about the developments.
