The Association is an American Sunshine Pop band from Los Angeles, California, known for their rich harmonies and intricate vocal arrangements during the late 1960s. Over the years, the band has included nearly 40 members and experienced multiple lineup changes. The original members were Jules Alexander, Terry Kirkman, Brian Cole, Ted Bluechel Jr, and Russ Giguere.
In 1967, Larry Ramos, who had won a Grammy Award with the New Christy Minstrels in 1963—becoming the first Asian American to do so—joined The Association after Jules Alexander left the band.

"Never My Love" is a song written by American siblings Don and Dick Addrisi, and best known from a hit 1967 recording by the Association. The Addrisi Brothers had two Top 40 hits as recording artists, but their biggest success as songwriters was "Never My Love"
