The P0741 code appears when the engine control module (ECM) detects that the torque converter clutch (TCC), located inside the torque converter, is not engaging or disengaging properly. The torque converter itself is located between the engine and transmission, inside the transmission casing. It transfers power from the engine to the transmission and helps improve efficiency by locking up at higher speeds.
