In this intermediate guitar lesson it’s all about small phrases on guitar. Using the structure of the minor pentatonic scale we will create blues rock guitar phrases. Connecting 3 or 4 note phrases within the pentatonic scale is a great way to sound musical! Start practicing using small groups of notes instead of the entire pentatonic scale. I struggled early on to play lead guitar because I just kept practicing the entire scale up and down. Over and over. This is an intermediate guitar lesson but beginner will definitely learn something from this guitar lesson. We just need to make this one simple change in the way that we use the pentatonic scale.
